What is Contento?
Contento is a content management framework which we have used to make lots and lots of great websites. Unlike typical CMS systems such as Joomla, Contento is not a pre-packaged install-and-go system, but rather a series of components tied together by a programming framework. The main benefits of using Contento is that the administration interface is very easy to use and since Contento is a series of components it's very flexible and expandable. Contento has been developed during 6 years by Copyleft Mexico and is in use in over 50 sites worldwide.
Contento is free software released under the AGPL license and is written in PHP and uses a MySQL database to store information.
